Truffle Zest® ingredients
Truffles are part of the funghi family, there are about 200 species of truffles. Truffles grow in the forest, underground on roots of trees. Most common trees that form truffles: Oak, Hazelnut, and Poplar.
Black Summer Truffles are found between May and September.
Carob comes from a pod that grows on a Carob tree, native to the Meditteranean. The pods have a sweet pulp, and when dried and ground it becomes a great, subtle flavor and stabilizer for the truffles. Carob is high in fiber, a good source of calcium, and has vitamins B2 and B6, potassium and iron — making truffle zest even healthier!
